Mils drop 4-2 on home ice to Weyburn in Wednesday's Junior A Recap

Ben Hiltz had 2 goals to lead the Weyburn Red Wings to a 4-2 win over the Melville Millionaires on Wednesday night.

Tyran Brown and Erik Olson also scored for the Red Wings while Issac Embree and Clayton Eisler replied for the Mils.

Arik Weersink stopped 24 shots for the Wings to earn the victory while Connor Dochuk started for the Mils allowing 2 goals on 7 shots. He was then relieved by Colby Entz who made 13 saves on 15 shots.

The Mils next game will be on Friday night when they visit the Nipawin Hawks. GX94 will broadcast the game with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey, pregame 7:20 pxp at 7:30.


Elsewhere in the SJHL,

The Melfort Mustangs used a 3 goal second period en route to a 4-1 win over the La Ronge Ice Wolves.

Jacob Standen made 29 saves for the shutout as the Notre Dame Hounds blanked the Kindersley Klippers 5-0.

The Virden Oil Capitals got back into the win column with a 4-1 win over the Portage Terriers.

Tyler Kirkup had 2 points in the win for Virden
