The Yorkton Hyundai Terriers kicked off their 3 game in 3 night road-trip on a losing note as they fell 5-4 to the La Ronge Ice Wolves in a neutral site game from Pinehouse Lake.
The Terriers would strike early just 49 seconds into the 1st as Kaedan Taphorn would finish off a nice feed in front from Chantz Petruic for his 2nd of the season to make it a 1-0 lead for the Terriers.
Then with 6:38 left in the 1st, Petruic would go bar-down on Liam McGarva for his league-leading 33rd goal of the season to give the Terrier a two goal lead.
But before the 1st period buzzer could go, Aaron Greyeyes would pull his team within one with his 10th of the campaign to pull the Ice Wolves within one after 20 minutes of play.
Yorkton would get the lone goal in the 2nd as after a scramble in front it would would Kaedan Taphorn being able to bang it home for his second of the evening to regain the Terriers' their two goal lead after 2 periods.
But in the third, the Ice Wolves would start their comeback with 4 unanswered goals, 5:31 apart to begin the period as they would get two goals from Daylon Mannon & singles from Chad Mcllwain and Jake Gudjonson to give them a 5-3 lead.
Ethan Robson would cut the Terriers' deficit within one, but that's as close as they would get.
The Terriers' will continue their road swing on Friday night when they visit the Cage in Nipawin to take on the Hawks. GX94 will once again broadcast the game with the "Sask Milk" pregame show starting at 7:30.
The Ice Wolves meanwhile return to home ice on Friday to hose the Flin Flon Bombers at the Mel Hegland Uniplex.
