MILLIONAIRES 5, NORTH STARS 9
The Melville Millionaires dropped their first game at the SJHL Showcase in Warman after losing 9-5 to the Battlefords North Stars early Monday.
Ryland McNinch led the way for the North Stars with 2 goals, while Tynan Ewart, Dace Prymak, Emmett Wurst, Kevin-Thomas Walters, Tanner Klimpke and Jake Southgate had singles.
Colby Ball scored his 1st 2 SJHL goals to pace the Mils offensively, while Jackson Bohan, Jake Spak and Payton Kostyshyn (1st SJHL goal) also lit the lamp.
Cameron Beson made 34 saves on 39 shots to earn the win for the Battleforfs, while Mils' G Marek Andres stopped 33 shots in the loss.
Melville will wrap up the showcase on Tuesday morning at 10:30AM when they battle the Melfort Mustangs at the Legends Center in Warman.

BOMBERS 1, TERRIERS 0
The Yorkton Terriers once again outshot their opposition but they came up short in their opening game of their SJHL Showcase
Cal Schell was the difference making 45 saves for the shutout in the Bombers' goal, while Terriers' G Kael DePape turned aside 27 shots in the loss.
Jacob Vockler scored the lone goal of the game with 6:04 left in the 1st.
The Terriers take on the Battlefords North Stars on Tuesday night while the Bombers battle the Kindersley Klippers on Tuesday afternoon.
