Terriers' win; Millionaires fall on Tuesday Night

 TERRIERS 2, RED WINGS 1

The Yorkton Terriers scored two third period goals to come back to defeat the Weyburn Red Wings last night (Tues), 2-1 at home.

Enrique Fontes and Kishuan Gervais scored the goals, while Kael DePape made 19 saves to earn the win.

Ethan Whillans opened the scoring for the Wings in the 2nd period.

The game was finished at Yorkton's Kinsmen Arena, after their ice problems at the Westland Arena.

The Terriers return to action on Saturday night when they host the Battlefords North Stars.

 


 

BOMBERS 4, MILLIONAIRES 2

Cole Vardy scored the game winner, 6:12 into the 3rd period to lead the Flin Flon Bombers to a 4-2 win over the Melville Millionaires on Tuesday.

Kylynn Olafson, Zak Smith and Jaeden Mercier (Empty Netter) also scored for the visitors. while the Mills' goal came from Jake Spak and captain Jonathan Krahn.

Cal Schell made 34 saves on 36 shots to earn the win in the Bombers' goal, Mils' G Jared Thompson turned aside 39 shots.

The Millionaires will continue their 5 game home stand on Friday night when they host the Battlefords North Stars at the HCUC
