Oct. 2nd Local MJHL/SJHL Recap

 Stampeders 6, Wolverines 1

The Swan Valley Stampeders earned win number 3 on the season on Saturday night after a 6-1 triumph over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.

Darius Makse, Jamie Valentino, and Trey Sauder each had 1G 1A for the Stamps in the win, while Cody Barnes, Noah Fladager and Jackson Betcher chipped in with singles.

Colby Wotton replied with the lone Wolverine marker.

Stamps' G Dylan Black turned aside 41 of 42 shots in the win, while Liam Tereposky made 15 saves in the loss.

The two teams will once again meet each other on Friday night in Waywayseecappo.

Terriers 2, Hounds 4

Kevin Anderson had 1G 2A to lead the Notre Dame Hounds to a 4-2 win over the  Yorkton Terriers in their first meeting of the season.

Brendan Kerr, Elliot Dutil, and Connor Nolan also scored for the Hounds while Carson Henry and Erik Boers replied for the Terriers.

Austin Elliot made 22 of 24 saves in the Hounds' net before being kicked out for a match penalty. Ryley Osland stopped all 11 shots in relief.

Jacob Herman made 17 saves on 20 shots in the Terriers' goal.

Yorkton will return to action on Monday night at the SJHL Showcase in Warman when they take on the Flin Flon Bombers. GX94 will broadcast the game with Legacy Co-Op Terriers' hockey, pregame show starts at 7:20, play by play gets underway at 7:30.
