Local Deals on 2022 CJHL Trade Deadline Day

 SWAN VALLEY STAMPEDERS:





The Swan Valley Stampeders traded 20 year old defenceman Jackson Betcher to the Steinbach Pistons in exchange for future considerations. 

Betcher, a Swan River product is a veteran of 134 career regular season games where he compiled 17 goals and 53 points all with the Stampeders.

Currently in 28 games during the 2021/22 season, Betcher had 9 goals, 9 assists for 18 points.

The Stampeders' also added F Nic Roussel ('01) from Trail (BCHL) and F Deepkaran Hans ('02) from the Langley Riverman (BCHL) 


MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES:




The Melville Millionaires completed a couple deals ahead of the CJHL Trade Deadline.

The Mills traded 18 year old defenceman Matthew Strilets to the Drayton Valley Thunder (AJHL) for futures.

Strilets registered 3 points in 26 games with the Millionaires this season.

The Moneymen also traded to 18 year old F Maguire Ratzlaff to the Nipawin Hawks for future considerations.

The Abbotsford, BC native registered 1 assist in 11 games during the 2021/22 SJHL season.

WAYWAYSEECAPPO WOLVERINES:



The Waywayseecappo Wolverines are excited to announce the acquisition of goaltender Brett Mirwald from the Nanaimo Clippers of the BCHL.

The 18-year-old from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan played with the WHL Moose Jaw Warriors for the past two seasons.

The Wolverines' also announced they dealt 2003-born defenceman Max McNeil to the Kam River Fighting Walleye (SIJHL) for futures.

McNeil, a Green Bay product had 2 points in 14 games with the Wolverines. 



YORKTON TERRIERS:



The Yorkton Terriers made a move to their goaltending position on Deadline day.

The Terriers picked up 18 year old goaltender and Foxwarren, MB product Tresor Wotton from the Waywayseecappo Wolverines for future considerations.
 
Wotton in 9 appearances with Wayway had a 5-2 record, 3.25GAA, a 0.883 SV% and also registered one shutout. 

In a corresponding move, the Terriers' released 19 year old G Bradley Mistol.
