Nov. 18th Local SJHL/MJHL Recap

The Melville Millionaires' dropped their 6th straight on Friday after a 3-2 loss to the Estevan Bruins.

The Mils played a very solid effort in the 1st as they rewarded for their efforts as Colby Ball's point shot was able to sneak through Bruins' G Cam Hrdlicka for his 4th of the season with 2:09 left in the first period to give the home team a 1-0 leaf after 20 minutes.

In the 3rd, the Moneymen added to their lead as Matt Kjemhus stepped off the bench and then sniped home his 1st SJHL goal to give his team a 2-0 lead.

But the Bruins stormed back later in the 3rd with 3 unanswered goals from Logan Ziegler, Owen Barrow and Sam McPeak that was the difference.

Cam Hrdlicka made 22 saves on 24 shots to earn his league-leading 14th win of the season, while Clement Labillois turned aside 19 shots in the loss.
