Terriers begin roadie with a loss in Flin Flon

The Yorkton Terriers began their 3 game road swing with a 8-3 loss to the Flin Flon Bombers at the Whitney Forum.

The Bombers got off to a blistering start to begin the game as they chipped in with 4 goals in the first 8:17 of the first period as Jacob Vockler (2), Alexi Sylvestre and Liam Bridger helped the home-side get an early 4-0 lead.

Yorkton would get on the board before the first buzzer went off as Bomber dman Alex Von Sprecken's clearing attempt took a funny bounce off the boards and came out right in front to Dylan Ruptash who made no mistake for his team-leading 8th to bring the Terriers within 3.

But Flin Flon made 5-1 in the final minute on a powerplay goal from Jeremi Tremblay to complete the 1st period scoring.

In the 2nd period, the Terriers got off to a pretty decent start and they got rewarded as Dalton Mayes' point shot was deflected in by Colton Koran for his 3rd of the season to bring them back within one before another quick response from the Bombers this time off the stick of Jaxon Martens just under 5 minutes later to make it a 6-2 game after 40 minutes.

The two teams exchanged goals late in the 3rd just 22 seconds apart as Alexi Sylvestre added his 2nd of night to make it 7-2 before Terriers F Pavel McKenzie went bar down for his 3rd.

Jeremi Tremblay added his 2nd of the night, and the fourth Bomber PP goal of night to wrap up their scoring.

Harmon Laser-Hume made 33 saves on 36 shots for the win in Flin Flon goal while Terrier G Tommy Bouchard started and allowed 3 goals on 7 shots before Caleb Allen came in relief and turned aside 28 of 33.

These two teams will go right back at it on Friday night at the Whitney Forum.
