Swan Valley netminder Kyle Abrahamson turned aside 66 of 69 shots but it wasn't enough as the Stampeders dropped a 4-2 road decision on Tuesday night to the Dauphin Kings.
Trey Gnetz and Kyan Grouette gave the Kings an early 2-0 lead after 1 period before Darius Makse jammed home his team-leading 12th of the season to cut the Stamps' deficit to one through 40 minutes.
Then with 5:35 left in the 3rd, Landen Gulutzan finished off a nice tic-tac-toe passing play on the powerplay to pull Swan Valley even late.
But a late 5 on 3 PP produced the game winner for the home side as Ashton Paul ripped home and one-timer for his first goal as a King before Alex Senf iced it into the empty net in the final seconds to lead Dauphin to their 4th straight victory.
Kings G Cole Sheffield made 31 saves to earn his 17th win of the season.
The Stampeders return to action on Friday night hosting the Niverville Nighthawks while Kings are in Virden on Friday.

Boston Harkness scored his 1st of the season just over 2 minutes into overtime to lead the Melville Millionaires to 6-5 come-from-behind win over the Humboldt Broncos.
Luc Bydal led the way offensively for the Moneymen with 1G 2A while Colby Ball and Caden Drury had 1G 1A each, and Bradley Banack and Elliot Mikesch chipped in with singles.
Maddox Amaral, Spencer Bell, Daylan Weigel, Brayden Skogstand and Jacob Strizzi replied for the Broncos.
Ethan Rau made 26 saves on 31 shots in the win for Melville, while Broncos G Aiden Fischer turned aside 47 shots in the OT loss.
The Millionaires return to action on Friday night visiting Nipawin, before returning home to host the Notre Dame Hounds on Saturday.
