Yorkton will put in bid to host 2018 RBC Cup

The Yorkton Terriers held their annual Sportsmen's Dinner this past Saturday night and at the event team President Dave Baron announced there is a Yorkton committee in place to put in a bid for the 2018 RBC Cup.

"Several years ago we had thought about placing a bid for the Western Canada Cup but felt like in the end there were some good things, but also some shaky things that scared us off", Terriers President Dave Baron.

Baron also added "From that possible WCC bid we were going to put in, we had a package and committee together already and we think though we can do a heck of a job hosting a RBC Cup.

There are 3 other place across Western Canada that have rumored to have expressed interest in also putting in a bid which includes Chilliwack BC, Brooks AB & Kindersley SK.

The Terriers last hosted the National Junior A Championships back in 1999.

I had chance to catch up with Terriers President Dave Baron below to recap Sportsmen's Dinner and to talk about the RBC Cup bid.
