It wasn't the first period the Terriers were looking for as they would give up a couple in that opening period. The first one came on the powerplay just 6:30 in as David Miazga would deflect one past Kale Thomson for his 4th goal of the playoffs to make it a 1-0 Bronco lead. They would make it a 2 goal lead as Gray Marr would finish off a nice passing play for his 5th of the post season to give the Broncos a 2-0 lead after 40 minutes lead.
The Terriers after having a lengthy 5 on 3 powerplay to start, would get a penalty of their own but on that ensuing penalty kill, Jordon Ross would send a backhander past Ryland Pashovitz for his 4th of the playoffs to cut the Broncos lead in half at 2-1. The Broncos would regain their 1 goal lead just half way through the 2nd period as Jarret Fontaine would get his 1st of the playoffs to make it a 3-1 Bronco lead. It would stay like that until the final 1:40 of the middle frame when they would get a couple of the sticks of Riley Hunt and Kailum Gervais would give the Terriers some confidence evening it up at 3-3 heading into the 3rd period of play.
In the a back and forth 3rd period, both teams were playing pretty tight, with no team wanting to give up that go ahead goal, and neither team did as they stayed even at 3-3 after 60 minutes, and we headed to the overtime for third game of the semi-final series.
And with overtimes in the OT that took a triple and a double overtime, this time it didn't take long at all as just 25 seconds in, Chase Norrish would one time a knuckle puck that would hit the back of the net for his 6th of the playoffs to give the Terriers a 4-3 Game 4 win.
Kale Thomson made 29 saves for the win while Ryland Pashovitz made 42 stops in losing cause.
Terriers will look to book their ticket into their 2nd straight final as they host Game 5 on Friday night at the FAA.
