Stamps win 2nd straight in Saturday night Jr. A Recap

The Swan Valley Stampeders won their 2nd straight on the road as they defeated the Winnipeg Blues 4-1 on Saturday night.

Brett Evans was once again sharp making 42 saves on 43 shots for the victory while Trevar Mann, Connor Navrot, Jaden Townsend and Keaton Jameson scored for the Stamps.

The Stamps are back in action on Wednesday night when they visit the Neepawa Natives at 7:30.

Elsewhere in the MJHL,

The Wayway Wolverines lost on the road, 3-2 to the Virden Oil Capitals.

Dylan Thiessen, Carter Cowlthorp and Kolten Kanaski scored for the Oil Caps while Landyn Cochrane and Trevor Kavanaugh replied for the Wolverines.

McKenzie Chalmers was stellar for Wayway making 52 saves in the loss.

Wayway is back at it on Tuesday night when they host the Winnipeg Blues at 730.

In the SJHL,

The Yorkton Terriers split their weekend games.

After a 2-1 win on Friday over Notre Dame, the Terriers then fell 4-1 to the visiting Weyburn Red Wings on Saturday night at the FAA.

Jacob Wozney, Carson Rose, Ben Hiltz and Erik Olson scored for the Red Wings. Matt Perkins had the lone goal for the Terriers.

The Terriers next action will be on Tuesday night when they visit the Estevan Bruins. Pregame 6:50, pxp at 7:00 with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey on GX94.
