Yorkton Terriers' clinch 6th seed after win over Weyburn in regular season finale

The Yorkton Terriers' clinched the 6th seed heading into the SJHL playoffs after a 5-2 win last night (Sun) over the visiting Weyburn Red Wings.

Erik Boers (pictured above)  led the way offensively with 2G 1A for the Terriers, who got singles from Tyson Janzen, Zach McIntyre and Colby Vranai.

Matthew Reidy and Kirk Mullen replied for the Wings.

Kael DePape made 21 saves on 23 shots to earn the win for the Terriers.

Yorkton will now have to wait to see who their opponent will be in Round 1 of the Canalta Cup Playoffs.

If Battlefords' gets a point in their regular season finale with Notre Dame Hounds, then they'll battle the Terriers, if they don't it will be the Melfort Mustangs battling the Terriers' in the 3 vs. 6 matchup.
