The North Stars struck first in the 1st as Colby Bear took a nice feed in front from newcomer Kian Bell and he snapped home his 1st of the season over top the right shoulder of Jared Thompson, 8:05 into 1st to make it 1-0.
The score stayed like that until the final 2 seconds of the 2nd period as on the powerplay, Zach Cain walked in from the top of the right circle and went bar-down on Josh Kotai for his first to pull the Moneymen even with Battlefords after 2 periods.

KINGS 0, STAMPEDERS 3
Kobe Grant stopped 40 shots for his 1st shutout of the season to lead the Swan Valley Stampeders to a 3-0 win over the Dauphin Kings at the Centennial Arena.
Jakob Jones, Myles Mason and Tyler Park scored the goals for the Stamps', who won their 2nd straight.
The Stamps' and Kings will play the 2nd game of their back to back on Saturday night back in Dauphin.
