Terriers win; Millionaires lose on final day of Junior A Preseason schedule on Sunday

 TERRIERS 8, KINGS 4 


Loghan Nimmo had 1G 2A, while JD Hall also scored twice to lead the Yorkton Terriers to a 8-4 victory yesterday (Sun) over the Dauphin Kings in their preseason finale from the showcase event in Melville. 

Aidan Knutson, Jackson McDonnell, Karsten Kruska, Greg Nelson, and Dylan Ruptash also scored while Caleb Allen made 21 saves on 25 shots in the win for Yorkton.

Teague Porter, Connor Picard, Michael Gallagher, and Jovan Malay replied for the Kings. 

The Terriers' will open their 2022/23 regular season with a home and home series with the Estevan Bruins starting Friday night at Affinity Place.

Dauphin begins their regular season taking on the Neepawa Titans, also on Friday.

HOUNDS 3, MILLIONAIRES 2 (OT) 

The Melville Millionaires' finished their preseason with a 6 and 2 record, after falling 3-2 in overtime to the Notre Dame Hounds last night (Sun) at the HCUC. 

Antoine Saint-Onge scored the game winner, 2:34 into the extra period while Mathieu Fehr and Connor O'Keefe chipped in with singles. 

Noah Wills and Zach Cain replied for the Mils, who got 27 saves from youngster Clement Labilliois. 

The Millionaires' will hold their home opener this Friday night against the visiting Weyburn Red Wings.
