The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's Yorkton Terriers held their 2022 annual general meeting last night (Wed) at the Gallagher Center.
From the AGM, the Terriers' announced a deficit of $37,895 from the 2021/22 season.
"I'm disappointed but not totally surprised by the number, we went through a lot of challenges last season with the capacity restrictions on fans, people hesitant to come out because of COVID and other variables," said Terrier President Corvyn Neufeld.
Neufeld also said there is one change to the board with Blaine Buckle stepping away and Steven Boucher coming on.
"Just would like to thanks Blaine for all his years of service with the Terriers, he was a great board member and long-time volunteer over the years, and in saying that I'm looking forward to see what Steven can bring to the board."
The Terriers open their 50th anniversary season on Friday when they visit
the Estevan Bruins, before hosting the Bruins for the home opener on Saturday at
the Westland Insurance Arena.
