The Wayway Wolverines finished off the 2015 portion of their road trip last night (Tues) dropping a 3-1 decision to the Virden Oil Capitals and they had their 3 game win streak snapped in the process.
17 year old Ty Enns scored for the Wolverines while Troy Martyniuk made 41 saves in the losing cause.
The Wolverines next action will be their final game of 2015 tonight (Wed) when they entertain the Neepawa Natives at 7:30 from the Wayway Arena Complex.

Friday Night Jr. Recap
The Yorkton Terriers closed out their 2015 portion of their home schedule on the right foot with a 5-1 win over the Notre Dame Hounds on Friday night.
Adam Santoro, Kailum Gervais and Paul Savage (pictured above) led the way offensively with 1G 1A while Corwin Stevely and Jordan Evans also had markers for the Terriers.
Jakob Severson got the start in net and made 23 saves for Yorkton who wrap up their pre-Christmas schedule tonight (Sat) when they visit the Weyburn Red Wings.
Elsewhere last night in the SJHL, The Melville Millionaires lost their 6th straight, dropping a 5-2 decision to the Nipawin Hawks.
Liam Shaw scored for both goals for the Moneymen while Clark Flegel made 32 saves in the losing cause.
The Mils play their final game before their break tonight (Sat) at 7:30 when they visit the Nipawin Hawks.
Meanwhile in the MJHL,

Mils lose; Wolverines snap streak in Wednesday's Jr. Recap
The Melville Millionaires played a pretty strong 2nd and 3rd period but it wasn't enough to get back in the win column as they lost their 5th straight, 6-3 on the road last night to the Estevan Bruins at Affinity Place.
The Bruins were able to get on the board first as 15 year old Cole Fonstad would grab a loose puck and go top shelf on Brandon Wells for his 1st SJHL goal on his 1st shot to give Estevan an early 1-0 lead. They would make it 2-0 at the 12:10 mark as Zach Douglas' long point shot would go through a screen and hit the back of the net for his 5th goal for the veteran Bruin defenceman. Then the Bruins would get a late power play and they would be able to convert just 3 seconds into it as Owen LaClare would one-time home his 15th goal of the year to give the home team a 3 goal lead after 20 minutes. Shots 11-7 Estevan.
The Mils would get on the board at 6:53 of the 2nd period as Tyler Kreklewich would knock home his 9th goal of the season to cut the Mils deficit to 2 at 3-1. But the Bruins would strike back and regain their 3 goal lead as Zach Goberis would take a nice feed across from Jason Duret to put home his 3rd of the year to make it 4-1 Estevan. The Mils, who were the better team in the middle frame would come back with another with just 2:46 left as Cole Filler, from his stomach would poke home his 6th to push the Moneymen within 2 once again at 4-2 after 40 minutes. Shots on goal 23-18 Estevan.

Nathan Alalouf made 28 saves for the Bruins for the victory while Brandon Wells started for the Mils but was pulled after allowing 3 goals on 11 shots and then Clarke Flegel came in and made 19 saves on 22 shots in the Mils goal.

Stamps drop pre-Christmas finale 4-2 in Virden
The Swan Valley Stampeders have entered the Christmas break on a losing note after dropping a 4-2 decision on Tuesday night to the Virden Oil Capitals.
The Oil Caps would draw first blood just over half way through the first as Tanner Lewis would take a nice feed from Dylan Cusmano and knock home his 5th of year to make it 1-0. But the Stamps would even it up a short time later as Chandler Ashcroft would go top shelf short side over Sean Keuhn for his 1st MJHL goal to tie things up at 1-1 after 20 minutes. Shots 11-8 Virden.
The Stamps would grab their first lead just 30 seconds into the middle frame as Josh Martin would finish off a nice passing play for his 5th goal of the season to make it 2-1 for the visitors. Brett Sharples would even things once again for Virden as he would get his 1st to even it up at 1-1. Then just 1:02 later, Dulan Cusmano's one-timer would beat Degraves for his 4th to make it a 3-2 Virden after 2 periods. Shots 26-17 Oil Capitals.
The Oil Caps would add another one on the powerplay in the 3rd as Dylan Thiessen would net home his 13th goal of the season to make It a 4-2 Virden final.
Sean Keuhn made 20 saves on 22 saves for the win, while Zach De graves stopped 31 shots in a losing cause.
The Stamps next action will be in the New Year on Sunday Jan. 3rd when they visit the Neepawa Natives.

Stamps win; Terriers & Wolverines fall on Sunday; Terriers Coaches Show- Dec 14th edition
In the MJHL,
Brandon Clark and Cody Ellingson (pictured above) each had 1G 1A while Captain Gavin Froese had the game winner as the Swan Valley Stampeders moved into 6th place with a 4-3 win on the road over the Neepawa Natives on Sunday at the Yellowhead Center.
Peter Matthews had the other goal for Swan while Zach Degraves made 22 saves for the win in goal.
The Stamps next action is tomorrow night (Tues) when they visit the Virden Oil Capitals. GX94 will broadcast the game with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey, pregame 7:20 pxp at 7:30 from Tundra Oil & Gas Place.

The Yorkton Terriers wrapped their 3 games in 3 night road trip with another 1 goal loss dropping a 3-2 decision yesterday (Sun) to the Melfort Mustangs.
The Welke Twins, Mackenzie and Carson scored for the Terriers while Jakob Severson stopped 32/35 in the losing cause.
The Terriers will return to home ice for the first time in quite awhile on Friday night when they host the Notre Dame Hounds at 7:30 from the FAA.

Homan; Epping capture 2015 Canadian Open Titles in Yorkton

The number 1 team in the world kept their red- hot season going in the Parkland area.
Ottawa's Rachel Homan and her rink of Emma Miskew, Joanne Courtney and Lisa Weagle capture their 3rd straight Grand Slam of Curling title with a 8-7 win over Jennifer Jones of Winnipeg in the final of the Meridian Canadian Open at the Gallagher Center.
Both teams came out firing early as both teams would exchange a couple of 3's in the opening few ends as Jones took an earl 5-3 lead. Homan would come back with one in the 4th to bring it within 1 at 5-4.
Homan then used steals in 5 and 6 to grab her 2nd lead of the game at 6-5.
Jennifer Jones would score another multiple score in the 7th grabbing a couple to give her a 7-6 lead
Jones attempted to put some heat on Homan in the 8th but with her last she wrecked giving Homan a couple to give the Ottawa skip a 8-7 win on Sunday afternoon.
Homan chatted about the victory with reporters after.

In the Men's final,
Toronto's John Epping won his 3rd career Grand Slam title but first with his new team as he defeated defending champion Brad Gushue 7-4 in the championship final at the Gallagher Center.
After forcing Brad Gushue into a single point in the 1st, John Epping made another beauty raise with last to score a couple points to take a one point lead at 2-1 after 2 ends.
Gushue would draw for another single in the 3rd before Epping with yet another beautiful angle raise to grab another 2 points to head into the 4th end break with a 4-2 lead.
Epping, after yet another force in the 5th, makes a nice double to score 3 in end number 6 to take a 7-3 lead.
Gushue wouldn't be able to complete the comeback in 2015 as would score one in 7th but thats as close as he would get.
Epping spoke to the media after the win.

Saturday Night Recap
The Melville Millionaires, Yorkton Terriers and Swan Valley Stampeders all fell on Saturday night in Junior A action.
The Stampeders had their 5 game point streak come to an end as they lost 4-3 to the visiting Winkler Flyers.
16 year old Noah Basarab, Colton Brausen and Gavin Froese scored for the Stamps while Zach Degraves made 33 saves in the loss.
The Stamps' next action will be tonight (Sun) when they visit the Neepawa Natives at 6:30.
Meanwhile in the SJHL,
The Terriers dropped their 2nd straight 1 goal game on the road, this time 3-2 to the Nipawin Hawks.
MacKenzie Welke and Adam Santoro scored for the Terriers who wrap up their roady in a short time at 3:30 today when they visit the Melfort Mustangs.
The Millionaires wrapped up their road trip in a sour note losing 7-0 at the Whitney Forum against the Flin Flon Bombers.

The Swan Valley Stampeders now has points in 5 straight games after for the 2nd consecutive night they beat the Dauphin Kings, this time 4-3 on home ice.
19 year old forward Michael Fortin had the game winner with 7:38 left for the Stamps while Gavin Froese, Trevor Mann and Cody Ellingson chipped in with singles.
Zach Degraves (pictured above) picked up his 9th win of the season stopping 28 shots in net for Swan.

The Swan Valley Stampeders' point streak now sits at 4 after 5-4 overtime win over the Dauphin Kings on Tuesday night.
Jesse Lawrence had the OT winner while Gavin Froese, Josh Tripp, Carter McMurdo and Trevor Mann also scored for the Stamps.
Brett Evans got the win in goal making 29 saves for Swan.

Wayway; Swan Valley both drop decisions on Sunday Night
The Wayway Wolverines dropped their 2nd straight on Sunday night while the Selkirk Steelers won their 3rd straight in the process defeating the Wolverines 4-0 at the Wayway Arena Complex.
It wasn't the opening period the Wolverines were looking for as they allow 3 goals in the opening 7:50 to the visitors. Nathan Halvorsen would get his 1st of 2 of the period at the 4:40 mark of the opening frome to make it 1-0. Then just 30 seconds later Dallas Starodub would go top shelf over the right shoulder on Troy Martynuik (making his Wayway debut) for his 8th of the year to make it 2-0. Halvorsen would get his 2nd of the night, when his shot would squeak through the Wolverine goaltender to give the Steelers a 3-0 lead after 1. Shots 9-4 Selkirk.
After a scoreless 2nd period, the Wolverines would continue the strong play from the middle frame into the 3rd but on this Sunday night, the bounces and goals would not go the way of the home team. Ty Kraus would knock his team leading 13th goal of the season into the empty net to ice it for the Steelers to give them a 4-0 victory.
Brett Friesen got his 2nd shutout in as many starts for Selkirk making 28 saves while Troy Martynuk, who was making his Wayway debut turned aside 25 of 28 shots in the loss.
The Wolverines' next action will be on Tuesday night as they host the Portage Terriers at 7:30

Terriers; Stamps lose. Mils snap La Ronge's long point streak on Friday
The Yorkton Terriers dropped their 2nd straight game while allowing Humboldt to snap their 8 game losing streak in the process, losing 4-3 to the Broncos on Friday night.
The Terriers for the 2nd straight night were able to get the first goal on the power play as Shane Sherban would take it away from Broncos' goalie Ryan LaRochelle and would wrap it around into the open net for his 7th goal of the season just 4:57 in to make it 1-0 for the visitors. But the Broncos would respond with a power play of the own at 9:52 of the first as Connor Swystun's point shot would beat Jakob Severson for his 4th to tie things up at 1-1 after 20 minutes. Shots advantage for the Terriers at 10-6.
The Broncos would grab their first lead of the night just 3:08 into the middle frame as Josh Roberts would be awarded a penalty shot and he would make no mistake over the right pad of Severson for his 2nd of the season to make it 2-1 for the home team. It would stay like that until late in the 2nd when they Trevor Posch would slip home his 5th of the campaign with just 2:52 left to give the Bronocs a 3-1 lead after 40 mins. Shot clock after 2 period, 18-17 Broncos.
In the 3rd period the Terriers would be able to cut the deficit within one once again as Carson Welke would get his 2nd goal in as many nights as he would go top shelf on Larochelle for his 7th to make it 3-2. But just a short time later, Jarrett Fontaine would finish off a nice passing play from Trevor Posch and get his 9th to regain the Broncos 2 goal lead at 4-2. But the Terriers would once again come back with an answer, another PP goal as Paul Savage seeing-eye snipe job would get past the Bronco goalie to make it 4-3. But thats as close as the visitors would get despite a flurry of chances late, the Broncos were victorious 4-3 over Yorkton.
Ryan LaRochelle making his 1st start back since being re-acquired back from Winkler to Broncos, he was impressive stopping 27 shots while Jakob Severson made 19 saves on 23 shots in the loss.
The Terriers will now have a week off before heading out on the road next Friday for a 3 games in 3 night roady starting in Flin Flon against the Bombers.

Christian Stevens' 13th goal of the season for the Mils in the 3rd was the game winner while Kole Bryks (1st SJHL goal) and Cole Filler also scored for the Millionaires.
Brandon Wells wasn't whole lot busy stopping 14 of 16 shots to get the win.
The Mils will go right back at it on Saturday when they visit the defending league champion Melfort Mustangs at 7:30 from the Northern Lights Palace.

In the MJHL,
The Swan Valley Stampeders surrendered a 2-0 lead in the 3rd and eventually fell in overtime 3-2 to the visiting Selkirk Steelers.
Tristan Langan and Josh Tripp scored for Swan while another 17 year old Brett Evans made 43 saves in the loss.
The Stamps will look to get back on the win track on Sunday when they host the Steinbach Pistons at 6PM at the Centennial Arena in Swan River.

Terriers drop 3-2 home decision to La Ronge on Thursday night
The Yorkton Terriers tried to snap their 4 game slide against the La Ronge, but they were unsuccessful last night losing 3-2 on home ice to the Ice Wolves.
Cole Porter scored 2 goals for the Ice Wolves including the game winner on the PP with 2:46 to go help La Ronge Ice Wolves to extend their point streak to 14 games.
Dexter Robinson and Carson Welke scored for the Terriers in the loss while Matt Kustra was once again very solid making 30 saves.
The Terriers next action will be tonight (Fri) when they visit the Humboldt Broncos at 7:30. GX94 will broadcast the game with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey, pregame 7:20 from the Elgar Petersen Arena.

The "Valley" Line combines for 6 points to lead Swan Valley over Wayway 4-2 on Wednesday night
The Swan Valley Stampeders got back on the win track last night and beat the Wayway Wolverines for the 3rd time in the process doubling the Wolverines 4-2 in MJHL action.
The Stampeders had the jump in the 1st period controlling the shot column and they would be able to get the only goal of the opening frame as Cody Ellingson (pictured above middle) would take a nice feed in front from Tristan Langan (pictured above left) & slip it through Wolverine goaltender Greg Harney for his 6th of the season to give the Stamps a 1-0 lead after 20 mins. Shots on goal 15-8 Swan Valley.
After a scoreless 2nd period, 5 total goals would be scored in the final frame. 20 year old Johl Swedlo would start things up getting the Wolverines on the board with his 9th of the season to make it a 1-1 game. But just 2:06 later the Stamps would regain their 1 goal lead as Trevor Mann would pot home his 6th to make it a 2-1 Swan lead. Pretty busy December 1st for our Local Jr. A teams
The Yorkton Terriers didn't make any trades on the Dec. 1 roster cut-down deadline but they were able to add a couple players to their roster.
The Terriers welcome back 19 year old Jordan Ross from WHL's Prince George Cougars.
The Kronau, SK product is in his 3rd stint with the Terriers after having playing parts of the last couple of seasons with Terriers including helping the Terriers capture 2014 RBC Cup title.
Ross has compiled 30 points in 70 games in Yorkton uniform.
The Terriers have also brought up Buena Vista, SK product Keenan Lugt from the PJHL's Regina Capitals.
The 18 year old dman also played last year with the Swift Current Legionnaires of the Saskatchewa Midget AAA Hockey league.
The Terriers also made another roster move, releasing 19 year old F Carson Cayer to the Assiniboia Southern Rebels (PJHL)

The Melville Millionaires made a few deals on the eve of the December 1st roster cut-down.
The Mils got a little younger between the pipes by picking 18 year old net minder Clarke Flegel from the Winkler Flyers (MJHL) for a player development fee.
Flegel, a Moose Jaw product had a 5-1 record, with a 2.18GAA and 0.929 SV% with the Flyers this season.
He was also a part of the Telus Cup Bronze medal winning Regina Pat Canadians team last season.
In a corresponding trade, the Mils then sent 20 year old goalie Josh Bykowski the MJHL's Portage Terriers for a player development fee.
The Vermillion AB native had a 2-8 record with Mils this season along with a 4.27 GA and a 0.889 SV%.
The Mils also made a couple moves to get a little younger on the backend as they traded 20 year old defenseman Mark Zvonkovic to the Melfort Mustangs in exchange for a player development fee while also acquiring the rights to former Yorkton Rawtec Mauler Logan Leslie from the Weyburn Red Wings for a PDF.
Zvonkovic had 5 goals and 3 assists for 8 points in 27 career games with the Moneymen while Leslie spent 3 years playing Midget AAA in Yorkton and this season 15 points in 16 games with the PJHL's Fort Knox.

Meanwhile the Russell MB product in Zimmer had 12 points (1g, 11a) in 14 games. Last year he had 36 points (10g, 26a) in 34 games which was good enough to make him a finalist for the MJHL Rookie of the Year.
The other trade the Wolverines were involved in was them picking 18 year old goaltender Troy Martynuik from the AJHL's Brooks Bandits for future considerations.
The Winnipeg MB product, who was dealt to Bandits earlier this year by the Dauphin Kings had a 1-1 record for Brooks with a 2.50GAA & a 0.913 SV%

The Swan Valley Stampeders were fairly quiet on Dec 1st as they made one trade in acquiring big 18 year old forward Connor Navrot from the Battlefords North Stars for a player development fee.
The Saskatoon product had 2 points in 18 games with the Stars this season but had 41 points in 44 games with the Sask Midget AAA Hockey League's Beardy's Blackhawks last season.
Navrot also played in 5 playoff games last season with the Kindersley Klippers.

Terriers; Wolverines were victorious on Saturday Night Recap
The Yorkton Terriers were able to earn a weekend split over their Highway 10 rivals, the Melville Millionaires by beating the Mils 5-2 on Saturday night at the Farrell Agencies Arena.
19 year old Brandon Sookro (pictured above left) earned his 2nd Hat-Trick of the season while Devin Gerwing (1st SJHL goal) and Carson Welke also scored for the Terriers.
Tyson Predinchuk and former Terrier Dalton Menke scored for the Mils.
Matt Kustra (pictured above right) was impressive in the Terrier net stopping 42 of 44 shots while Mils' net minder Josh Bykowski made 28 saves in the loss.
Next action for both sides will be against the La Ronge Ice Wolves with the Terriers hosting them Thursday and the Mils entertaining them on Friday night.

In the MJHL,
The Wayway Wolverines were able to snap the 8 game winning streak of the Winkler Flyers defeating them 4-3 in the shootout on Saturday.
Johl Swedlo had the SO winner and also scored in regulation while Rhett Lough and Tyler Ham had the singles.
Greg Harney (pictured above) stopped 38 of 41 Flyers shots for the victory.

Wells earns 1st SJ shutout to lead Mils over Terriers 4-0
The Melville Millionaires snapped their 2 game slide and move into a tie for 3rd place in the Viterra division with Yorkton after beating the Terriers 4-0 on Friday night,
The Mils didn't take long to get on the board in the 1st period as they would be awarded with a 5 minute power play after the Blow to head penalty to Terrier Co-Captain Corwin Stevely and Carter Hansen would convert just 17 seconds into the PP to give the home team an early 1-0 lead. They would add their second just 2:40 later, as Quentin Greenwood would take a nice feed from Dylan Ostertag in front and slip it five-hole on Jakob Severson for his 3rd of the year to make it 2-0. Tyler Chavez-Leech would give the Mils a 3-0 near the half way point the first frame and thats where it would sit after 20 minutes. Shots on goal 16-12 Terriers.
After a scoreless 2nd period, the Mils would add one more for good measure as Mark Zvonkovic's long point shot would get through and in for the 20 year old's 1st of the season to help push the Mils to their 8th victory of the season 4-0 over their Highway 10 rival Terriers.

Mils send 19 year old Foyle to Flin Flon to complete futures
The Melville Millionaires have sent their 6th top scorer and 19 year old Mitch Foyle to the Flin Flon Bombers to complete the futures of the Brett Kitt trade between the two teams earlier this season.

Leduc, Alta., will welcome 60 players looking to earn one of 22 spots
on Team Canada West’s final 2015 World Junior A Challenge roster when it
hosts the team’s selection camp, Dec. 5-8.
Hockey Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL), released the 60-player roster on Wednesday. Players
named to the Team Canada West selection camp roster were selected from
the CJHL’s five western Junior A leagues: the British Columbia Hockey
League (BCHL), Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), Saskatchewan Junior
Hockey League (SJHL), Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) and Superior
International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL).
The Canada West selection camp roster includes:
· six goaltenders, 21 defencemen and 33 forwards;
· 24
players from the AJHL, 18 players from the BCHL, eight players from the
SJHL, seven players from the MJHL, and three players from the SIJHL;
· three players returning from the 2014 World Junior A Challenge (Tyler Busch, Dante Fabbro and Tyson Jost).
The
selection camp roster was chosen by Team Canada West head coach Tim
Fragle (Sherwood Park, AJHL) along with assistant coaches Paul Dyck
(Steinbach, MJHL), Mike Reagan (Flin Flon, SJHL) and Barry Wolff
(Coquitlam, BCHL), and director of hockey operations Trevor Alto (BCHL).
The
selection camp, scheduled for Dec. 5-8, will be held at the Leduc
Recreation Centre in Leduc, Alta. The 60 players will be divided into
three teams and play four intrasquad games (two 25-minute, running-time
periods each) over three days.
“With
the tremendous amount of talent in Western Canada, there were tough
decisions to get to these 60 players, and we’re expecting it to be even
tougher to get down to the final 22,” said Fragle. “It’s going to be an
exciting four days in Leduc, and as a staff we can’t wait to get started
in Ontario on Dec. 13.”
The
Wellington and District Community Centre, home of the Ontario Junior
Hockey League’s (OJHL) Wellington Dukes, will host two pre-tournament
games on Friday, Dec. 11; the first featuring the OJHL All-Stars in a
match-up against the Czech Republic at 3 p.m. ET, and the second
featuring Team Canada East taking on the United States at 7 p.m. ET.
In
Trenton, Team Canada West will go head-to-head with Russia on Dec. 11
at 7:30 p.m. ET at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Gardens, home of the
OJHL’s Trenton Golden Hawks.
Tickets
to the pre-tournament games can be purchased at the arena box offices
in Wellington and Trenton beginning Nov. 9. Single-game tickets are $10
each, or $15 for the two Wellington games.
This
year marks the 10th edition of the World Junior A Challenge – executed
as part of a partnership between Hockey Canada and the CJHL. The event
visits Ontario for the first time since its inception in 2006. Two
Canadian teams and four international squads will form the two groups
of three teams that face off Dec. 13-19 at the Cobourg Community Centre
in Cobourg and the Iroquois Park Sports Centre in Whitby.
Full-tournament ticket packages in both Cobourg and Whitby, including the gold-medal game, can be purchased through the Hockey Canada website.
Seven
of the nine gold-medal games at the World Junior A Challenge have
featured at least one Canadian team. Team Canada West won gold at the
first two tournaments, in 2006 and 2007, and also took the top prize in
2011. The team also earned silver in 2008, 2009 and 2012, and won bronze
in 2013. Team Canada East earned silver medals in 2006, 2007, 2010 and
2011, and claimed bronze in 2008.

Stamps move into 6th place, with a 5-2 victory at home over Neepawa
The Swan Valley Stampeders moved into sole possession of 6th place in the MJHL standings after a 5-2 victory on Wednesday night over the Neepawa Natives.
Colton Brausen (pictured above) , Keaton Jameson, Trevor Mann, Tristan Langan and Daylan Creasy all scored for the Swan while Zach Degraves made 18 saves for his 7th win of the season.
The Stamps will have a few days off before they visit the OCN Blizzard on Monday at 7PM.

Waywayseecappo wins; Mils lose on Tuesday Night Recap
The Wayway Wolverines and Selkirk Steelers combined for 12 goals in regulation, but it would be the Wolverines getting that decisive 13th goal in the shootout as they slipped by the Steelers 7-6 on Tuesday night.
Brock Paddock had the game winner for Wayway while Brayden Cullum (1G 2A), Alex Keena (1G 2A) and Johl Swedlo {pictured above) (2G 1A) all had 3 points each to lead the way.
Aaron Dupasquier and Ty Enns chipped in with singles.
20 year old Greg Harney made 27 saves for the Wolverines to get the W.
The Wolverines will have the night off tonight (Wed) before they start a 3 game in 3 night stretch on Thursday night visiting the Winnipeg Blues at 7PM

For the 2nd straight game, the Melville Millionaires fell in defeat to the Viterra division leading Weyburn Red Wings, this time a 4-0 loss on home ice.
Former Yorkton Midget AAA Mauler goaltender and rookie netminder Carter Phair made 26 saves for his 1st SJHL shutout.
The Mils next action will be on Friday when they host the 4th installment of the Highway 10 battle against the Yorkton Terriers. GX94 will have all the action on Friday from the Horizon Credit Union Center with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey, pregame 7:20 pxp at 7:30.

Wayway acquires Durdle from Virden (MJHL
The Wayway Wolverines have added some more veteran depth for their back-end.
The Wolverines have acquired 19 year old dman Cody Durdle from the Virden Oil Capitals for future considerations.
In 16 games this season with the Oil Caps, the Portage MB product had 5 goals, 2 assists and 4 minutes in penalties.

Terriers; Mils snap losing streaks with wins on road
The Yorkton Terriers snap their 3 game losing streak in dramatic fashion defeating the Weyburn Red Wings 3-2 in the whoooo on Friday night.
After a very entertaining but scoreless opening period, the Terriers would be able to pot one in the middle frame as Cole Keenleyside would deflect home his 4th of the season to give the Terriers a /0 after 2 period.
In the 3rd, Tucker Neuberger would tie things up for the Red Wings slipping it through the five-hole of Matt Kustra (pictured above) to make it 1-1. Then with just over 4 mins remaining as just as their powerplay expired as Connor Burk grab the loose puck and slip it home to give the home team ther first lead at 2-1. The Terriers with the goalie pulled would be able o get the equalizer as Kailum Gervais would take a nice feed in the slot and go five-hole on Jack Burgart to tie things up at 2-2 and force overtime.
After a scoreless overtime the two teams would head to overtime.

The Melville Millionaires kept pace with their Highway 10 rivals hammering the Notre Dame Hounds 5-1 on Friday in a game played in Grenfell.
Tyson Predinchuk (pictured above) led the way for the Mils with 2G 1A while Christian Stevens, Kirk Bear and Mitch Foyle also scored for the Moneymen.
Josh Bykowski got the win in goal for Melville whose next action is on Saturday when they visit the Weyburn Red Wings at 7:30 from Crescent Point Place.

Things looked good for the Swan Valley Stampeders with a 2-1 lead after 20 but then the Winkler Flyers scored 5 unanswered goals to beat the Stamps 6-2.
Trevor Mann and Josh Tripp scored for Swan while Brett Evans made 39 saves in the loss.
The Stamps wrap up their roady on Saturday visiting the Winnipeg Blues at 7:00

Oil Caps dump Wayway 5-1 on Thursday night
The Virden Oil Capitals evened up the season series with the Wayway at a game apiece after beating the Wolverines 5-1 on Thursday night at Tundra Oil & Gas Place in Virden.
The Oil Caps would get on the board first after a slow start for both sides as 13:18 in Mack Hardy would fire home his team leading 9th of the season to give Virden an early 1-0 lead. Wolverines would be able to convert on a PP goal just 2:13 later as Ty Enns would take a nice feed back door from Johl Swedlo and put home his 8th of the year to make it 1-1. But before the first period buzzer could go the Oil Caps would get a powerplay goal of their own as Nolan Ross would deflect home his 7th of the season give his team a 2-1 lead after 1 period. Tripp leads Swan Valley to 5-0 blanking over Neepawa; Terriers drop 3rd straight to La Ronge on Wednesday Night
The Swan Valley Stampeders are now winners of 5 of their last 7 games as they hammered the Neepawa Natives on Wednesday night at the Yellowhead Center.
17 year old Swan River product led the way with 2 goals, 1 assist while Josh Martin, Cody Ellington and Gavin Froese also scored for the Stamps. Tristan Langan chipped in with 2 assists.
Zach Degraves stopped all 39 shots he face for his 1st shutout of the season.
The Stamps continue on the road with a couple of games on the weekend starting on Friday night when they visit the Winkler Flyers

The Yorkton Terriers once again outshot the La Ronge Ice Wolves but for the third straight game they fell to the Wolves this time 4-1 on home ice at the Farrell Agencies Arena.
Regan Seiferling got the lone goal of the game, the Teddy Bear Toss marker for the Terriers in the final minute while Jakob Severson made 18 saves on 22 shots in the losing cause.
The Terriers next action will be on Friday night on GX94 with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey when they visit the Weyburn Red Wings at Crescent Point Place. Pregame show is at 7:20, pxp at 7:30

Mils drop 2nd straight, 4-1 to the La Ronge Ice Wolves; Mils Coaches Show- Nov 18th Edition
For the 2nd straight game the Melville Millionaires outshot their opponent but for the 2nd straight game they fell in defeat.
The Mils dropped a 4-1 decision to the La Ronge Ice Wolves on Tuesday night to drop their record to 6-14-0-1 on the season.
Christan Stevens' 11th goal of the season was the lone marker for the Mils.
Their next action will be on Friday night when they take on the Notre Dame Hounds at 7:00 in Grenfell.

Stamps drop heartbreaker to Steinbach to get 3 game win streak snapped
The Swan Valley Stampeders were 10:02 away from moving their win streak to 4 games but then the Steinbach Pistons ruined the party.
The Pistons scored 3 late goals including the game winner with just 11 seconds left to slip by the Stamps 4-3 on Sunday night.
Josh Tripp, Gavin Froese and Trevor Mann scored for Swan while Evan Last chipped in with 2 assists.
Zach Degraves took the loss in net making 26 saves on 30 shots.
The Stamps will now head on the road for the next 3 games starting on Wednesday night when they visit the Yellowhead Center to take on the Neepawa Natives.
