Cardinals win 2nd straight over Mils with 13-9 road win on Friday night

The Yorkton Cardinals earned their second win of the season by beating the home town Millionaires 13-9. It was the Cardinals second consecutive victory over Melville.

In this offensive contest, Yorkton had 13 hits and one error while Melville produced seven hits and was charged with six errors. The game featured five home runs, three from Yorkton and a pair from Melville.

Dondrei Hubbard, a senior from Mayville State University, was an offensive star for the Cards. Hubbard had three hits including a double and a home run. He also scored three runs and had two RBI.

 Melville’s Mason Furlong was two for three with a homer and three RBI.

Kyle Stevenson was credited with the Yorkton win. Adam Martin pitched 1.1 innings in relief for the save.  Melville’s Tanner Luna’s loss dropped his record to 0-2 on the season.

The Mils go right back at it on Saturday visiting the Moose Jaw Miller Express while the Cards will also visit the Miller Express on Sunday afternoon
