Melville Millionaires / Trail Smoke Eaters swing a 3 player-deal



After acquiring him back earlier this month, the Melville Millionaires have made a deal to send 1997-born goaltender Brandon Wells (pictured above top) back out west.

The Mils have trade the Spirit River, AB product to the Trail Smoke Eaters of the BCHL in exchange for 19 year old D Ryan Warner (pictured above bottom right) and 20 year old D Tyson Slater (pictured above bottom left).

Wells split time with the Mils and Spruce Grove last season, his rights were acquired back by the Mils just over a week ago.

Warner, a 6 foot 4, 200lbs Victoria BC product had 2 goals, 6 assists for 8 points in 40 games with Trail last season.

Meanwhile Slater is a 6'2", 207lbs product of Courtenay, BC and had 5 goals and 10 points in 39 games this past season with the Smokies.

The Mils also announced the signing of F Brendan Mongey (99) from the KIJHL's Kelowna Chiefs.

The Kamloops, BC product had 10 goals, 17 assists for 27 points and 151 penalty minutes in 43 games this past season.
