The Melville Millionaires and Spruce Grove Saints have completed the futures part of their trade that took place in January that sent G Brandon Wells to the AJHL team.
The Mils have acquired back the 20 year old Wells (top left) along with 1997-born F Ryan McKinnon (top-right), 1999-born G Connor Dochuk (bottom left), and 18 year old F Brayden Labant (bottom right).
Wells, from Spirit River, AB was acquired from the Mils in Jan by the Saints and finished his AJHL regular season with a 7-3 record, a 1.91GAA and a 0.926 SV%. He also had a 2-2 record in the postseason
McKinnon a 5 foot 10, 180lb forward hails from Edmonton had 11 goals, 18 assists for 29 points in 52 games split between the Saints and Calgary Canucks (AJHL) last season.
Dochuk, 6'3, 170lb goaltender also comes from Edmonton appeared in 11 games for Spruce Grove this past season compiling a 5-4-1 record with a 2.50 GAA and a 0.899 SV%
Dochuk also suited up in net for Team West at the 2017 CJHL Top Prospects game in Cornwall, Ontario this past January.
Meanwhile for the 6'1 195 lbs Labant (St. Paul, AB), in his rookie AJHL season split between the Saints and Camrose Kodiaks he had 3 goals, 1 assist in 33 games.
