The Jays Care Foundation in partnership with the Toronto Blue Jays have awarded funding to 15 communities across Canada with their "Field of Dreams" Granting program.
One of those communities was the town of Ituna, who will receive $48,000 in funding which will go towards to covering the expenses for a new backstop, bleachers, shale, perimeter fencing and landscaping on Diamond #2 in the Ituna Regional Park.
"Field Of Dreams is Jays Care's granting program for infrastructure dedicated to youth life-skill development and physical activity.
The Field Of Dreams program provides funding to design, refurbish and build safe spaces for children and youth to play baseball, develop life skills and learn from positive role models.
In the last five years, Jays Care has committed over $7.5 million to 70 infrastructure projects across Canada.
