Mils; Terriers both fall on final day of SJHL Showcase in Warman

The Melville Millionaires got a point in the SJHL Showcase finale but they fell 3-2 in overtime to the La Ronge Ice Wolves.

Grant Longtin scored twice including the OT winner for the Ice Wolves while former Millionaire Jordan Mish also chipped in with a single.

Nic Porterfield and Ryan Butler replied for the Mils.

Hunter Adams was solid in the Moneymen net turning aside 42 of 45 shots.

The Mils' next game will be on Saturday night when they visit the Weyburn Red Wings at Crescent Point Place.

The Yorkton Terriers wrapped up their SJHL Showcase on Wednesday afternoon with a 4-1 loss to the Humboldt Broncos.

Max Gudnason, Logan Foster, Tristan Shewchuk and Bryson Cecconi scored for the Broncos while 20 year old Chantz Petruic had the lone goal, his 4th goal of the season for the Terriers.

Cooper Kennedy made 49 saves on 53 shots in the loss for Yorkton in his 1st SJHL start.

The Terriers will look to return to the win column on Friday night when they visit the Weyburn Red Wings.
