Porterfield & Spadafora lead Mils to convincing victory over Weyburn on Wednesday night

The Melville Millionaires won their 2nd straight in convincing fashion on Wednesday night hammering the Weyburn Red Wings 6-2 at the Horizon Credit Union Center.

The Wings got out to an early 2-0 lead on goals by Kai Studler and Ben Hiltz before the Mils scored 5 goals in the 2nd period led by Nic Porterfield who had 2 of them while Jacob Bouchier, Luke Spadafora and Booker Chacalias chipped in with singles.

Porterfield added his hat-trick goal with 5:00 left in the third to round up the scoring.

19 year old Hunter Adams made 27 saves on 29 shots in the Mils' net to earn his 1st SJHL victory while Aaon de Kok started for the Wings and was pulled after allowing 5 goals on 21 shots and he was relieved by Noah Decottignies who made 9 saves on 10 shots.

The Mils' will return to action on Friday night when they entertain the Melfort Mustangs to HCUC with game time at 7:30PM.
