The Swan Valley Stampeders clinched first place in the MJHL's West division after a 6-3 win over the Virden Oil Capitals, for their 8th straight victory.
Collin Jennings led the way offensively with his 15th and 16th goals of the season in the win while Griffin Ayotte (7th), Callum Halls (4th), Warren Marcotte (13th) and Trey Sauder (24th) also scored for the visitors.
Andrew Blocker, Josh Lehto and Davis Chorney replied for the Oil Capitals.
MJHL Top goalie Kobe Grant made 37 saves on 40 shots to earn his league-leading 26th win of the season while Oil Caps netminder Eric Reid made 34 stops.
The two teams wrap up their regular seasons in the back-end of the home & home series on Friday night in Swan River. GX94 will broadcast the game with the play by play kicking off at 7:00PM MB time.
