Friday Night Recap

The Yorkton Terriers gave themselves a little bit of cushion for the final playoff spot in the SJHL standings as they slipped by the Notre Dame Hounds 4-3 in a game played in Fort Qu'Appelle.

Regan Seiferling got the OT winner just 12 seconds in while AP Mason Mullaney, Corwin Stevely and Cole Keenleyside also scored for the Terriers.

Matt Kustra stopped 28 shots in the victory for the Terriers who now sit 3 up on the Humboldt Broncos for the final playoff spot and they will meet the Broncos tonight (Sat) at 7:30 from the FAA.

Meanwhile the Melville Millionaires are now 4 points behind the Terriers as they had their 4 game win streak snapped as they lost 6-1 to the visiting Estevan Bruins.

Tyler Kreklewich's 13th goal of the season was the lone marker for the Mils.

Brandon Wells took the loss in goal making 29 saves.

In the MJHL,

The Swan Valley Stampeders were 1:47 away from a victory before the Lawson McDonald scored 2 late goals to help the Winkler Flyers beat the Stamps 4-3.


Riley McKay scored 2 goals while Colton Brausen had the other for Swan Valley.

Zach Degraves made 28 saves in the loss.

The Stamps' next action will be on Wednesday night when they entertain the Wayway Wolverines at 7:30
