Terriers; Wolverines both were victorious on 1st Saturday of 2016
The Yorkton Terriers made it a split of the first Highway 10 home and home series of 2016 as they defeated the Melville Millionaires 5-1 on Saturday night at the Horizon Credit Union Center.
Co-Captain Corwin Stevely (pictured above) led the way for the Terriers with 2 Goals & 1 Assist while Jordan Ross, Cole Keenleyside and Adam Santoro scored Yorkton.
Jake Tesarowski's 3rd goal of the season was the lone marker for Millionaires.
Jakub Severson made 32 saves in net for Yorkton in the win while Clarke Flegel made his 2nd straight start in the New Year making 35 saves in the loss.
Both the Terriers and Mils' next action will be on Tuesday night as the Terriers start a road trip up in Flin Flon against the Bombers. GX94 will broadcast the game with Yorkton Dodge Junior Hockey, pregame 7:20 pxp at 7:30. The Mils on the other hand will host the Notre Dame Hounds at 7:30.

Over in the MJHL,
Troy Martyniuk (pictured above) made 29 saves to lead the Wayway Wolverines to a 3-1 victory over the Winnipeg Blues on Saturday.
Ty Enns, Braydon Cullum and Kevin Takatch scored for the Waywayseecappo.
These two teams will go right back at it on Sunday night at 7:30 from the Wayway Arena Complex.
