Melville's Severson headed to the AHL


Since his team the Kelowna Rockets were eliminated by the Kamloops Blazers 4 games to none in the WHL's Western Conference Semi-Final Series, Melville's Damon Severson will now to the AHL Affilliate of the New Jersey Devils in Albany for the remainder of their portion of the season.

The 18 year old defenseman who was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the 2nd round, 60th overall in the 2012 Draft chipped in with 10 goals, and 52 points from the backend for the Rockets this season and also added 10 points in 11 playoff games in the 2013 WHL Playoffs.

Severson took time for a quick chat before he will head down to Albany tomorrow morning
