Terriers win convincingly 4-1 in Game 4 to even up series with Humboldt

The Canalta Cup Final is now a Best of 3 as the Yorkton Terriers with a very solid effort defeated the Humboldt Broncos in Game 4 4-1 on home ice to even up the Best of 7 Series at 2 games apiece.

The scoring all got started 4 minutes into the 2nd period when Terriers' Tyler Giebel would pounce on rebound on the powerplay for his 4th goal of the playoffs to make it at 1-0 hockey game after 40 minutes of play.

The Terriers would get a 2 goal lead almost half way through the 3rd,  when captain Devon McMullen would go end to end and put it top shelf on Matt Hrynkiw in high light reel fashion to make it 2-0. But just 17 seconds later, the Broncos would strike as David Miazga would pounce on a rebound and put it past Dawson McAuley to make it a 1 goal Terrier lead at 2-1. Jeremy Johnson would increase the lead to 2 goals to 3-1. Then Giebel would ice it into the empty net with less than a minute remaining for his 2nd of the night and 5th of the playoffs to make it a 4-1 Terriers Game 4 victory.

Dawson McAuley was once again solid in the Terrier net stopping 22 of 23 shots while Broncos goalie stopped 30 shots in a losing cause.

Series is tied at 2-2, with Game 5 taking place on Saturday in Humboldt 7:20/7:30 on GX94, while Game 6 back in Yorkton on Sunday. Both games will broadcasted on GX94.
