Stamps' drop Game 1 in Steinbach; Mils find out Wild-Card Opponent.

The Swan Valley Stampeders dropped Game 1 of their MJHL Quarter-Final on Friday night, 4-0 to the Steinbach Pistons to go down 1-0 in their Best of 7 Series.

The Pistons would strike first in the opening game as Tanner Mole would pick up a loose puck and slip it past Ethan Peterson jut 7:15 into the 1st to make it 1-0. They would add to lead just 7:12 later as Braden Purtill would get it in the high slot and just squeak one through the five-hole of the Swan goalie to make it 2-0 after 1 period.

In the 2nd they would add to their lead as Jared Lailli would find Austin Heideman back-door for his 1st of the playoffs to make it 3-0 after 40 minutes.

The home-side would add one more in the 3rd as the Stamps would head to the power play and would pull their goalie to make it 6 on 4, but errant pass back to the point would hop over Daylin Smallchild's stick and Tanner Mole would put it into the empty net for his 2nd of the night to seal the Pistons' Game 1 victory.

Matthew Thiessen made 17 saves to earn the shutout in his 1st MJHL Playoff appearance while Stamps G Ethan Peterson made 34 saves on 37 shots in the loss.
