Stamps trail MJHL Quarter-Final 2-0 after 5-1 loss in Game 2

The Swan Valley Stampeders dropped their 2nd straight on the road to start their MJHL Quarter-Finals losing 5-1 to the Steinbach Pistons in Game 2.

Just like Game 1, the Pistons got on the board first as just 1:05 in a loose puck would come out and Drew Worrad was at the right place at the right time to put home his 1st of the series to make it 1-0. Then just a mere 46 seconds later, they would make it 2-0 as Brendan Martin would saucer pass a nice feed to Will Koop who made no mistake for his 1st to give the Pistons a lead after 20 minutes.

In the 2nd, the Stamps would cut their deficit in half as just 38 seconds in as Keaton Jameson snapped one psst Matt Radomsky for his 1st of the series making it 2-1. But not even 3 mintues later, Tanner Mole would once again take a nice feed in front and hammer in his 3rd of the playoffs to regain the Pistons two goal lead. Drew Worrad would add his 2nd of the night a short time later to give them a 4-1 going into the 2nd intermission.

The 3rd period would only produce one goal as Brendan Martin would chip in a loose puck to help give his team the 4 goal victory.

Pistons G Matt Radomsky made 22 saves in goal to earn his 1st win of the series while Ethan Peterson got the start for Swan and was pulled after giving up 4 goals on 19 shots. Brett Evans came in, in relief and was sharp making 22 saves on 23 shots.

The Pistons now lead the Best of 7 series, 2-0 and now the series shifts back to Swan River for Game's 3 and 4 on Tuesday & Wednesday respectively. Puck drop for both will be 7:30PM MB time.

Winkler doubled OCN 4-2

Virden beat Selkirk 4-3
(Virden leads Best of 7 series, 1-0)
