Canada wraps up perfect round-robin at 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Edmonton
Josh Williams and Alexis Lafreniere each had a goal and an assist as Canada defeated Sweden 4-3 to close out the round robin portion of the Hlinka Gretzky Cup under-18 hockey tournament on Wednesday.
Matthew Robertson and Kirby Dach also scored for Canada while Canadian goaltender and Yorkton product Nolan Maier made 18 saves to get the win.
Lucas Raymond, Alexander Holtz and Elmer Soderblom responded for Sweden.
Canada, who also includes Yorkton's Kaedan Korczak finished first in its pool with a record of 3-0, while Sweden was 2-1.
The Canadians will face the United States in Friday's semifinals, while Sweden will be up against Russia.

Solid third round boosts Yorkton's Johnson up standings at Canadian Men's Amateur
American Zach Bauchou fought the heat with a 4-under-par 67 in Wednesday's third round of the 114th Canadian Men's Amateur Golf Championship to hold a two-stroke lead at Duncan Meadows.
The 22-year-old Forest, Va., product sits at 13-under par for the tournament and has held the lead through the first three rounds
