Langenburg Legends capture 2018 Southeast Senior Baseball League title

The Langenburg Legends dethroned the three time defending SESBL Champion Yorkton Yankees by winning back to back games in a double-header on Monday by scores of 5-0 and 8-0 to win the best of 5 series, 3 games to 1

Kelly Cook allowed just 9 hits, while throwing 14 shutout innings for the Legends on the mound.

It was the first league title for Langenburg in 16 years.

Maier; Korczak and Team Canada kick Hlinka Gretzky Cup with big win over the Swiss

Peyton Krebs scored twice and added an assist, Matthew Robertson and Ryan Suzukihad a goal and two helpers apiece, and Canada got goals from nine different players in a 10-0 win over Switzerland to open its schedule at the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup on Monday night.

Yorkton’s Nolan Maier was solid in the Canadian goal, making 15 saves to record the shutout, while fellow Yorkton product Kaedan Korczak is also a member of Team Canada whose next game is tonight (Tues) at 7PM vs. Slovakia.
