The Melville Millionaires and Yorkton Terriers both earned their first victories of the season on Friday night in the SJHL.
The Mils got two goals from Damian Bentz to lead them to a 6-2 win over the Notre Dame Hounds.
Daniel Liberty, Dayton Heino, Tyler Pryhitka and Montana Streit also scored for the Mils who got a 25 save performance from Berk Berkeliev for his 1st SJHL win.
The Mils next game will be on Monday at the SJHL Showcase when they face the Flin Flon Bombers.
Meanwhile, Kishaun Gervais' 1st SJHL goal stood up to be the GWG as the Yorkton Terriers defeated the Weyburn Red Wings 5-3 on home ice.
Aiden Bulych, Tyson Janzen, Branden Klatt and Ben Solomon also scored for the Terriers while Ben Laidlaw made 27 saves to earn the W in goal.
The Terriers' will also be in Warman for the SJHL Showcase and will kick things off on Monday against the Nipawin Hawks.

In opening night in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League,
The Swan Valley Stampeders got 2 goals from rookie Kasyn Kruse and veteran Noah Basarab as they doubled up the OCN Blizzard 6-3 on Friday.
Tanner Booth and Dane Hirst also scored for Swan who got 35 saves from Michael Davis to earn his 1st MJHL victory in net.
The Stamps will host the back-end of the weekend home and home on Saturday night from the Centennial Arena in Swan River. Puck drop is at 7:30PM MB time
**Also just a reminder there will be a Stampeders' Alumni Game happening at 1:30PM MB time on Saturday featuring over 40 Stamps' Alumni taking part.
Meanwhile in Steinbach,
Riley Vautour had 1 goal and 1 assist while Issac Labelle made 33 saves to help the Waywayseecappo Wolverines to a 3-2 season opening win over the defending champion Steinbach Pistons 3-2 on the road.
Preston Seymour and Nick Doyle also scored the visitors.
The Wolverines will have their home opener on Sunday afternoon at 4PM Mb time vs. the Selkirk Steelers.
