Terriers win; Stamps lose in Tuesday's MJHL/SJHL Recap

The Yorkton Terriers earned their 2nd win of the season on Tuesday night at the SJHL Showcase in Warman as they held on for a 6-5 victory over the Flin Flon Bombers.

The line of Jared Legien (2G 1A), Branden Klatt (3A) and Aiden Bulych (3A) combined for 9 points to lead the way offensively for the Terriers.

Meanwhile Chantz Petruic (2), Cole Keenleyside and Cody Bruchkowski also scored for Yorkton who got a 41 save win from Ben Laidlaw between the pipes.

The next game for the Terriers will be on Saturday night when they host the Weyburn Red Wings at 7:30 from the Farrell Agencies Arena.

The Swan Valley Stampeders suffered their first loss of the 2018/19 regular season on Tuesday night, dropping a 4-2 decision to the Virden Oil Capitals.

Noah Basarab and Jacob Thomson scored for the Stamps while Jackson Hjelle made 30 saves in his MJHL debut to take the loss.

The Stamps' next action will take place on Saturday night when they host the Neepawa Natives at 7:30PM MB time.
