A four local Jr. A teams fall on Saturday night

In the SJHL,

The Yorkton Terriers returned back home on Saturday night and dropped a 4-1 decision to the visiting Notre Dame Hounds.

Regan Seiferling had the lone goal while Terrier net minder Matt Vernon made 22 saves in the loss.

The Terriers are back in action on Friday night when they visit their Highway 10 rivals the Melville Millionaires.

Speaking of the Moneymen,

The Melville Millionaires lost their 2nd straight on the road, losing 2-0 to the Flin Flon Bombers.

Brandon Wells was very solid in the Mils net stopping 51 of 53 shots while Zac Robidoux made 22 saves for the shutout.

The Mils wrap up their 3 games in 3 night road trip on Sunday when they visit the Nipawin Hawks at 6PM from the Cage.


In the MJHL,

The Wayway Wolverines and Swan Valley Stampeders both lost big on home ice on Saturday night.

The Stamps got shut out 6-0 by the Selkirk Steelers while the Wolverines go the lone goal from Korwin Shewchuk as they fell 6-1 to the Steinbach Pistons.

The Wolverines will host the Pistons once again tonight (Sun) while the Stamps will host the visiting Portage Terriers at the Centennial Arena.
