Swan Valley swings a deal with the Winkler Flyers

After a 2-7 start to their season the Swan Valley Stampeders have made a deal with the Winkler Flyers on Monday.

The Stamps traded the rights to 1997-born goaltender Cole Kehler (Altona, MB) and futures to the Winkler Flyers (MJHL) in exchange for 20 year old G Connor Slipp (Calgary, AB) and 20 year old F Jason Cohan (North Vancouver, BC).

Cohan (pictured above right) had 3 assists in 7 games with the Flyers this season. He also compiled 6 goals, 6 assists for 12 points in 28 games last year.

Slipp (pictured above left) was impressive for the Flyers last season where he had a 18-5-0 record with 2.26GAA and a 0.922 SV%. So far this season in 3 games, he has a 2-1 mark with a 2.67GAA and a 0.922 SV%.

Kehler was a 3rd round MJHL Draft pick by the Stamps in 2012 but has never played a game with the MJHL squad.

He spent last year with the BCHL's Merritt Centennials and this year with the Portland Winterhawks (MJHL) where he has a 6-1 record.
