The Yorkton Terriers, ahead of their couple road games this weekend have swung a deal with the Notre Dame Hounds.
The Terriers have dealt 20 year old F Brandon Sookro (pictured above left) to the Hounds in exchange for the rights to 19 year old Langenburg product and defenceman Evan Werle (pictured above right) & future considerations.
Sookro was in his 3rd season with the Terriers where compiled 46 goals, 22 assists for 68 points in 124 games in a Terrier uniform. Currently this season the Bonnington, BC product had 5 goals and 7 points in 13 games.
Werle hails from Langenburg, SK compiled 47 points in 121 games in 2 seasons with the Notre Dame Hounds. Currently this year with PJHL's Saskatoon Quakers he had 12 points in 7 games.
Werle was also a finalist for SJHL Rookie of the Year in 2014/15.
