The Melville Millionaires dropped their 6th meeting of the season against the Weyburn Red Wings on Friday night, 2-1 in the shootout at Crescent Point Place.
The Red Wings would strike first 4:56 into the 1st period as Ben Hiltz picked off a Mils' clearing attempt and then went in to beat Mils' G Berk Berkeliev for his team-leading 9th of the season to make it 1-0.
The Mils after getting out-played for most of the 1st period they were able to get a late goal to tie things up as 19 year old D Dylan Thackeray would go end to end and his wrap-around would beat Joseph Young for his 4th to make it a 1-1 game after 20 minutes.
There would be no scoring in the 2nd, 3rd and overtime periods before the game was solved in the shootout when Quentin Hill was the only shooter of 16 shooters to score in the shootout to give the home team the extra point.
Red Wings G Joseph Young made 29 saves on 30 shots and turned aside all 7 shooters in the shootout to earn his 1st SJHL win while Berk Berkeliev in the Mils net made 30 saves.
The Mils will return to action on Wednesday night when they begin a stretch of a 5 straight home games against the Nipawin Hawks.

Trevor Schroder scored the winner while Mikael Foucher made 29 saves including stopping all 3 shooters in shootout to lead the Swan Valley Stampeder to a 3-2 victory over the Winkler Flyers to begin a 3 game weekend road trip.
John Jebamani and Josh Beauchemin scored in regulation for Swan while Everett Bestland and Mateo Albinati replied for Winkler.
The Stampeders and Flyers will meet once again on Saturday night before Swan wraps up their road-trip on Sunday in Portage.
