For the 2nd time this season the Yorkton Hyundai Terriers handed the Battlefords North Stars' a loss, this time a 6-4 decision on Wednesday night to snap the North Stars' 15 game winning streak.
The North Stars would strike first early in the 1st as Timon Prexler's long point shot would beat Ryan Ouellette over the right pad for his 1st SJHL goal to make it 1-0
But the Terriers would respond with 7:13 to go in the first frame as Chantz Petruic was left back-door and the puck would go off a foot in front and right to the Terrier Captain who banged it home for his league leading 25th of the season to make it a 1-1 game after 20 minutes.
Shots after 1 was 7-7.
Quin Loon-Stewardson would regain the one goal lead back for the North Stars as he would beat Ryan Ouellette short-side for his 18th of the season to make it 2-1, 7:12 into the 2nd
But the Terriers after killing off three straight Battlefords PP's, they would strike with two late from Chantz Petruic as he would add his 26th and 27th goals of the season to complete the Hat-Trick to make it 3-2 Yorkton after 40 minutes.
The North Stars led the shot column 21-12 after 2 periods. (14-5 shots in favour of Battlefords in 2nd).
In the 3rd, Petruic would add his 4th of the night just 30 seconds in on nice feed from Jordan Guiney for his 4th of the night to push the Terrier lead to 4-2.
The North Stars would start the comeback as Kaden Boser with make it 4-3 with 9:42 to go before Quin Loon-Stewardson would tie it up at 4's with his 2nd of the night with 3:26 left in regulation
The Terriers' would get the game winner on the powerplay with 1:46 left when Steven Norum would deflect home a Chantz Petruic point shot past Adam Dmyterko for his 5th to make it 5-4 and then Jordan Guiney late would ice it into the empty net to wrap up the scoring.
Chantz Petruic would assist on the final Terrier to finish the night with a career-high 6 points.
Terriers' netminder Ryan Ouellette made 29 saves on 33 shots to improve his record to 6-0-1 on the season while Parker Rey got the start for Battlefords and allowed 3 goals on 12 shots through 2 period before being relieved for Adam Dmyterko who made 11 saves on 13 shots.
The Terriers with the win improved to 5-1-1 on the recent road-swing that will continue on Saturday night when they visit Crescent Point Place in Weyburn to take on the Red Wings.

For the 2nd straight night the Waywayseeappo Wolverines were victorious on home-ice as they defeated the OCN Blizzard 4-2 on Wednesday.
Gerrick Ripley, Anthony Bilka, Jack Kennedy and Conrad Phillips scored for the Wolverines while Thomson Phinney made 22 stops in the win.
The Wolverines will return to action on Saturday night when they visit the Selkirk Steelers.
