The Yorkton Hyundai Terriers wrapped up their 9 game road swing with a 3-1 victory over the Notre Dame Hounds at the Duncan McNeil Arena.
The Hounds would strike first on home ice as a long point shot from Gabriel LeBlanc would draw a rebound right in the crease and it would be Captain Jared Hamm banging in his 9ht of the season with just 1 second left in the 1st to make it 1-0 after 20 minutes.
The Terriers would respond with a powerplay of their own in the 2nd as on their 2nd PP opportunity, Keenan Taphorn would slide across ice to the right circle to Alec Zawatsky who rifled one through Hounds net minder Logan Dyck to tie it up at one goal apiece through 2 periods.
Chantz Petruic would add the eventual game winner with 9:12 to go as he would find the loose puck in the slot and go top-shelf for his league leading 29th to make it 2-1.
Fellow 20 year old Jordan Guiney would add some insurance with 2:39 to go as he would take a terrific feed from Alec Zawatsky and tap in his 10th goal to make it a two goal game.
Ryan Ouellette earned his 7th win of the season between the pipes for the Terriers making 29 saves on 30 shots while Hounds' G Logan Dyck was solid in the loss stopping 37 shots.
The Terriers would finally return back home after taking 13 out of a possible 18 points on the road, on Friday when they host the La Ronge Ice Wolves at the Farrell Agencies Arena with puck drop at 7:30.
It's also the club's annual Salvation Army "Teddy Bear Toss" game as fans are asked to bring a new stuffed toy to the game and you can throw the stuffed toy on the ice when the Terriers' score their first goal on Friday night.
