Mils; Wolverines both with Huge Victories on Sunday Night.

The Melville Millionaires never led in the hockey game until the game winner as they used a gutsy effort to beat the Notre Dame Hounds 4-3 on Sunday night.

The games scoring got going in the 1st when Carson Grolla would rip a shot past Alex Wakaluk for his 2nd of playoffs to make it 1-0. But before the end of the first frame, veteran forward Nathan Boyer would pull the Mils even with his 1st to make it 1-1 after 1 period.

Ryan Donovan would though give the Hounds 1 goal lead again with his 1st of the playoffs to make it 2-1. But once again the Mils would even it up this time at 2 as Lucas Froese would wrip a snap shot past Ty Reichenbach for his 1st and it was 2-2 after 40 minutes.

The Hounds would get the lead back once again in the 1st minute of period number 3 as Sam Aulie would rip a shot past Wakaluk for his 2nd of the playoffs to make it 3-2. But the Mils would once again tie it up for the 3rd time as Zack Simpon would release a wrist shot through traffic past Reichenbach for his 1st of the playoffs to even it up until 1:36 left in regulation when Lucas Froese would give the Mils their first lead of the night with his 2nd of the night to make it a 4-3 final.

Wakaluk stopped 22 of 24 shots for the win while Ty Reichenbach stopped 33 of 37 shots but took the loss.

The Series is now evened up at 1, with Game 3  on Tuesday night 7:30 HCUC

JJ Cruikshank was the hero 12:59 into the 3rd overtime period as the Wayway Wolverines beat the Dauphin Kings 3-2 to even up the Best of 7 Series 1-1

Alex Mills and Russell Turner also scored for the Wolverines who got 53 saves from 20 year old Cory Simons for the victory.

Game 3 of the series will go Tuesday night in Dauphin 7:30 MB time.
