Analysis:

It will be almost 2 full weeks since the Yorkton Terriers last played a game and definately will be the fresher of the teams going in as it will be only about 48 hours of rest for the Estevan Bruins after defeating the Kindersley Klippers in the Sherwood Survivor Series but they will be coming in with some momentum after a big victory over the Klips. The Terriers up front are very deep with all 4 lines firing and they all can score on any given night as they have 9 players with at least 30 points on the season led by 20 year old veterans Nathan Murray (team leader in points) and local product Jeremy Johnson (team leader in goals). While the Bruins counter with a very improved and healthier forward unit then they had at the start of the season that could be because Calder Neufeld is back healthy and his hot in the playoffs with 7 points in their 4 game so far in the post season, and also the return of Dylan Smith from EJHL on Jan 10th. On the backend the Terriers have the advantage at that position as they bolster one of the best, if not the best D core in the SJHL with likes of the Norrish Twins (Brady and Chase) , Devon McMullen, Austin Bourhis, John Neibrandt , Dylan Baer and Dallas Rossiter all capable of providing offence on the backend. Between the pipes, the Terriers have pretty much split their goaltending duties between Kale Thomson and Dawson McAuley, with McAuley playing most of the games down the stretch here. While for the Bruins its 20 year old backstopper Curtis Martinu who has been very good especially down the stretch as they were battling for a playoff spot and when they overcame the Klippers he will have to be even better to keep the Bruins in this series. Also another big thing that could be factor is home ice, the Terriers were 25-1-1 at the Farrell Agencies Arena, and their only regulation loss came to these Estevan Bruins back in late October.
