Terrier; Wolverines & Mils all with Big W's on Tuesday Night.

The Yorkton Terriers got some redemption on from their Game 2 Saturday loss to defeat the Estevan Bruins 2-1 to take a 2-1 series lead in their Best of 7 Sherwood Division Series.

There was no scoring in the first and 2nd periods but there was definitely a lot of chances with both getting point blank chances and a lot of posts and cross bars hitting but no scoring largely because of some superb goaltending by Estevan goalie Curtis Martinu and Terriers goalie Dawson McAuley.

But 3:48 into the 3rd period Patrick Martens would come off his off wing and rip a shot top shelf on Martinu for his 3rd of the playoffs to make it 1-0. Martens would get his 2nd of the night and 4th of the playoffs at 14:11 to give the Terriers lead. But the Bruins would make it interesting as Tanner Froese would deflect a point shot past McAuley to make it 2-1, but that's as close as they would get.

Dawson McAuley stopped 20 of 21 shots for the victory while Curtin Martinu kept his team in it stopping 38 of 40 shots but was tagged with the loss.

Terriers have a 2-1 series lead, Game 4 takes place in Estevan on Thursday, pregame 7:20, play by play at 7:30 on GX94.
