Analysis:
The Wayway Wolverines will be have a very tough test going into their Sherwood Division Semi-Final as the Dauphin Kings are one of, if not the hottest team in the CJHL as the Kings have won a franchise record 20 consecutive games coming into the playoffs and were ranked as the number 3 team in the country in the final CJHL Top 20 Rankings. They also possess the MJHL Top Scorer (Sinatynski), the MJHL's Top Defenceman (Butler) and the league's Most Valuable Player (Naud). Not only can they score but they keep it out as well as they have two reliable goaltenders in Archibald and Pominville who they an turn to and they have a combined 8 shutouts this season. The Wolverines will have to strike early in series and will need a big contribution from the 20 year old led by leading scorer Russell Turner who could be a game changer with combination of size, speed and scoring ability along with Brett Pinkerton, Curtis Veitch and offensive defenceman David Haaf will need to continue to come up big. Finally between the pipes the combination of 20 year old Cory Simons and 18 year old Brenden Fiebelkorn have be very, very stellar and have to outduel the dynamic duo between the pipes that the Kings have.
