The Yorkton Terriers wrap up their Highway 10 home and home series with a 2-1 victory over the Melville Millionaires on Saturday Night from the Horizon Credit Union Center.
For the 2nd straight night the home team would strike first as with 2:02 remaining in the 1st period as Eric Soar would send in a dump-in that would take a big bounce off the end boards right back out front and the Mils defenceman would bang it home for his 5th of the season to give the Mils a 1-0 first period lead. Shots 15-9 Yorkton.
The Terriers would even it up late in the 2nd as while 4 on 4, Jared Legien would take a nice feed from LJ Naccarato and slip home his 30th of the season to make it 1-1 after 40 minutes.
Dakota Odgers would get the lone goal in the 3rd as Dakota Odgers would take a nice feed back-door and make no mistake to give the Terriers the road victory.
Nathan Hargave made 23 saves on 24 shots to get win in the Terriers net while Colby Entz made 31 saves in the losing cause.
The Mils still remain 1 point back of the Melfort Mustangs for the final playoff spot after the Mustangs fell to Nipawin 4-0. The Mils wrap up their season needing a win on Tuesday night when they host the Estevan Bruins at the Horizon Credit Union Center.
