The Melville Millionaires used a 3rd period comeback to get a point but they fell in a marathon shootout, 3-2 to the Humboldt Broncos.
Stephen Wack got the winner for the visitors in the 14th round of the shootout while Kaleb Dahlgren and Derek Patter also scored for the Broncos.
Dayton Heino and Trevor Paradise had the goals for the Mils.
Jacob Wasserman made 23 saves for the win while Mils netminder Colby Entz stopped 34 shots in the losing cause.
The Mils/Broncos meet tonight (Sat) in the back-end of the home and home series at 7:30 from the Elgar Peterson Arena.

The Swan Valley Stampeders now have points in back to back games as they fell 5-4 in overtime on the road to the Steinbach Pistons.
Darby Gula had the winner on the PP in overtime while Easton Bennett, Braden Purtill, Danny Pion and Drew Worrad also chipped in for the Stamps.
Trevar Mann had 2 goals for the Stamps while Stephon Perrault and Matt Osadick also scored.
Matt Radomsky made 35 saves for Steinbach while Brett Evans turned aside 34 of 39 shots in the loss.
The Stampeders wrap up their road trip tonight (Sat) when they visit the Selkirk Steelers.
