SV Stampeders win with their 2nd straight with victory in Home Opener


The Swan Valley Stampeders won their 2nd straight on Wednesday night as they doubled up the Wayway Wolverines 6-3 in their home opener in Swan River.

17 year old Stamps rookie forward Matt Osadick (pictured above) had 1G 2A to lead the way while 20 year old Shane Roulette scored his 4th and 5th goals of the seasons.

Dawson Waddell, Tanner Garnham and Sam Harris also scored for the Stamps while Adam Withers, Riley Vautour, and James Maxwell replied for the Wolverines.

Brett Evans got his 2nd straight win between the pipes making 23 saves on 26 shots while Ethan Peterson stopped 35 shots in the losing cause.

The Stamps next action is on Friday night when they host the Neepawa Natives while the Wolverines will next host the Steinbach Pistons on Saturday night.


In the other MJHL game,

Yorkton product Matt Kustra made 32 saves to lead the Dauphin Kings to a 3-2 win over the Portage Terriers.
