Second half sports got underway yesterday (Thurs) at the 2018 Saskatchewan Winter Games
in North Battleford with our local Parkland Valley adding a couple more
medals.
Michael and Andelina Romanchook took the Gold Medal in the Class
2 Mixed Figure Skating Dance while Yorkton's Madison Bowtell earned a Silver
Medal in Class 1 Female Free Skate.
Parkland Valley now sits with 13
medals total, 4 Gold , 3 Silver and 7 Bronze.
Womens's
Hockey
Team Parkland Valley dropped both of their games on the
opening day losing 8-0 to Saskatoon and 8-3 to Team Southeast
Their next
game will be on Friday at 3PM vs. Lakeland.
Women's
Curling
Jessica Farquharson and her Parkland Valley rink split
their first two games on the opening day. They beat Regina by a score of 6-5 and
then fell 9-3 to Prairie Central.
They'll be on the ice this morning
(Fri) at 10AM against Team Lakeland.
