The 2018 Manitoba High School Provincial Rural Soccer Championships were held in Swan River over the weekend.
On the boys side, the Steinbach Regional Sabres captured the Gold Medal defeating the Garden Valley Zodiacs 2-1 in the Championship Game.

Meanwhile in the Girls Gold Medal game, Northlands Parkway Knighthawks defeated the Stonewall Rams 1-0
The Minnedosa Chancellors captured the Girls Bronze medal after defeating the Lorette Scorpions 3-2

Saskatchewan High School Cross Country Championships wrapped up in Delisle
The Saskatchewan High School Cross Country Championships took place this past Saturday in Delisle.
Top 10 finishes in the Midget boys category included a Bronze medal from Hudson Bay's Brendan Banks while Canora product Clay Sleeva finished in 6th, Yorkton's Justin Adam in 8th and Hudson Bailey of Canora finishing in 10th.
It was a Top 10 finish for Sarah Novakowski of the Yorkton Regional High School, as she finished in 7th place out of 102 runners in the Senior Girls category.
Meanwhile in the Junior Boys race, Yorkton Regional's Jesse Horsman finished in 10th place overall.
