The Swan Valley Stampeders used a 4 goal third period to lead them to a 6-3 win on Tuesday night over the visiting Virden Oil Capitals.
The Oil Caps would strike first just 4:18 into the 1st as Tanner Andrew would capitalize on the powerplay to give the visitors an early 1-0 lead. But the Stamps would come back and respond with a couple power play goals of their own just 13 seconds apart by Quinton Sudom (Pictured above) and Justin Svenson (1st MJHL goal) to pull the Stamps ahead 2-1. But that lead didn't last long as Kolten Kanaski would slam home his 4th of the season just 36 seconds later to make it a 2-2 game after 1 period.
Shots were 17-11 Swan after 20 minutes.
In the 2nd, there would only be one goal scored and it would be Oil Caps' 2nd year forward Hunter Cloutier after mad scramble picking up a loose puck and sliding it by a sprawled out Michael Davis for another goal on the man advantage to give Virden a 3-2 lead headed into the 2nd intermission.
Virden led in shot department 26-21 after 2 periods.
In the 3rd it was all Stampeders. Matt Osadick would kick things off just 4:30 into the final frame with his 3rd goal of the year to pull the Stamps even at 3-3. Then just under 6 minutes later, Noah Basarab would get the eventual game winner deflecting home a Quinton Sudom point shot by Dalton Dosch for his 4th to make it 4-3. Sudom would add couple more insurance markers later in the 3rd to complete the Hat-Trick to lead his team to the 2 points.
St. Albert AB product Michael Davis won his 4th straight start to begin the season making 29 saves on 32 shots while Oil Caps netminder Dalton Dosch turned aisde 22 shots in the losing cause.
The Stampeders will be back on the ice tonight as they host the Dauphin Kings from the Centennial Arena at 7:30PM MB time. The Oil Caps will host the Waywayseecappo Wolverines on Thursday night.

In the SJHL,
Jared Legien scored four times while also adding an assist & Chantz Petruic scored the OT winner as the Yorkton Terriers defeated the Humboldt Broncos 8-7 at the Farrell Agencies Arena.
Ben Solomon, Aiden Bulych, and Cody Bruchkowski also scored for the Terriers whie Ben Laidlaw made 25 saves in the win.
Brayden Camrud had a 5 point night while Riker Franczak netted a Hat-Trick to lead the way for the Broncos.
The Terriers' next game will be on Saturday night when they host the Melville Millionaires from the FAA. Puck drop is at 7:30.
